ProsperityAnd all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God......... "And the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow." Prayer for the blessings of God:1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Luke 6:38 give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back." Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 2 Corinthians 9:10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; God will supply seed for the sower.Prosperity is for the Kingdom of God!The Lord does have ways for His children to prosper. It takes seed, water, pruning, tilling, fertilizing and harvest to bring in a crop. It is the same with our finances. 2 Corinthians 9:6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. God does not need our money, He needs us to know that our money does not have us. He has big plans and it takes Christians participating in Kingdom giving for these things to take place. I have been told I must give my first 10% to my local church, is this right? No! A good word for storehouse used in Malachi (where most people refer to in this area) could rightfully be translated depository or place of deposit. I believe any fruit bearing entity of God is a depository or place of deposit. I believe you should give some of your giving to your local church, for that is the place your are being fed, getting ministry for your youth, and they are the ministry team that is there to equip you for service in the Kingdom. But, you are just as blessed to give to others you personally know doing the ministry. Must it be 10%? New testament is 100% of all you have, are, and going to be is Gods. So whatever He tells you, He knows that there is enough for you to live off of. Most times it will be way over 10%, but 10% is a great place to start! |
