What must I do to be Born Again?

First if you are asking yourself this question, you most likely need to be born again!  It is not just a confession and a prayer it is a lifelong pursuit of God.

What is a sinners prayer?  Confess, Repent, ask for forgiveness, and ask the Lord into your life is not the end but the beginning!  This does not save you,  only opens the door for you to begin your journey with God on a clean slate.

First, you must be willing to allow God to change you.  To be saved we must be know we are sinners,  not what we are doing,   but that we ARE sinners.  That nothing we do or say changes the fact that we are separated from God.  Here, and only here, is the place of Salvation's humble beginnings .   The word says, We enter through the narrow gate, we bring nothing with us,  we leave our old dead self out side and start a fresh with Him.

To be born again means that we Love God as He first loved us,  that we are willing to give our all to him.  We will worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

We must be taught.  We must be disciple,  The word says that we are to make disciples not converts!  we must learn the truth, but first we must allow God to take us to a place that believes the truth.  Find a church that believes all of the bible,  Spirit Filled, Holy preaching, righteously living, missions minded, full of faith church.  Be careful there are many churches that believe in other books writings and things that do not line up with the word of God.  J.W's, Mormon's, 7th day, but also some traditional churches no longer teach truth, allowing gay pastors and people to live in sin inside their churches and not telling them it is wrong.  Some churches no longer speak of sin, righteousness and the Blood of Christ  or even our responsibility as Christians to live Holy!

To be saved says that we will be transformed, Become new Creatures,  That means we must be willing to allow God to take away the sin nature and replace it with His nature.  You will first experience your friends not hanging out with you,  this is good it means you are changing.

Is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit Required for my salvation?  No, but it is very,  very helpful to stay walking with God and pursue Him until the end.  The Bibles says, "You will receive power and be my witness"  You need the power especially in this time and age we live in.

But today if you are willing start your new creation journey with a prayer.

Pray to the Lord Jesus asking Him to forgive you,  asking Him to save you and asking Him to fill you.  Then , I suggest give Him permission to take everything out of your life He does not want there and put everything into your life He wants.

Truly, before you ask the Lord to change you it is best to know who and what it is to be a Christian Check out the following list:
